How To: Matte Lipstick

I do not if you are like me but I like to have versatility. I like having products that can give me different finishes. That is why I like doing this little trick. It turns normal lipstick with a sheen to matte and it very easy to do. Basically after you apply your lipstick you set it with regular face powder. You can do it with a brush, q-tip (this will remove a bit of the lipstick), or a puff (this will dirty the puff, but you could have one just for this). Then viola! you have matte lipstick. One lipstick I am loving currently is wetnwild lipstick in shade 510 A. It is very inexpensive. Normally it does not last but when I set it with powder (to make it matte) it lasted a really long time. The second picture is two swatches. The first one is the lipstick set with powder (I used Maybelline Dream Matte powder) and the second is the lipstick on its on.
What is your favorite lipstick?

How To Use Up An Unpigmented Eye Shadow & Make A New Nail Polish Color

Recently I watched a youtube video on how to use up old cosmetics or products which you did not like. Here is a link to the video: JoshCollierMUA. So here are some tips on how to use up a eye shadow which does not have really good pigmentation. One of the first things to do to try to make the eye shadow work is to use an eye shadow primer. If the eyeshadow still does not show up then I suggest scraping the surface a little with a spoolie to see if it is just a problem that is on the top. If the eye shadow is still not living to your exceptions then you can just scrap some and apply it like that. You can also try to apply the eye shadow wet. If it still is not working & you still want to use it up somehow I have another little trick. Use it to make a new nail polish color. The best part it is really simple. Here is what you will need:
1. White Nail Polish (must be white)
2. Eyeshadow (can also be a pigment)
3. Tooth Pick or something to break the eyeshadow
The eyeshadow I am going to be using is from NYX in the shade Hot Green & a little of MAC Sassy Grass (I shattered this by mistake). Here is a swatch of the eyeshadow:
First you need to crush the eyeshadow and try to make sure there are no big chunks. Basically crush it as fine as you can. The reason this is important is because it will apply kinda chunky to the nail if it is not crushed enough. (I should have crushed this eyeshadow more)
Then you just need to transfer it to the white nail polish.
It must be a white nail polish. If you are to try it on a clear nail polish the eyeshadow will just settle to the bottom. Lastly shake the nail polish & viola you have a new nail polish color. Here is a swatch of my nail polish:
*If any of you decide to make your own nail polish color tell me how it goes and send me a picture* How do you use up cosmetics you do not like? If you have any other tips n tricks please leave them down below.

elf Studio Cream Eyeliner {Comparison, Review & Swatches}

Here is my review of the elf Studio Cream eyeliner.
Product Overview:
Availability: This can be found on the elf website. It  can also be found in kmarts & targets.

Retail: This eyeliner retails for $3.00.
Comparison: Wetnwild Mega Eyes Creme eyeliner retails around $3.00. While MAC fluidline retails for $15.00. L'oreal Color Truth Cream Eyeliner retails for $11.79.

Packaging: While this is not the worst packaging I have seen {wetnwild Mega Eyes Creme Eyeliner has a spaceship form which I hate} it still is a little bulky. The packaging is kind of deceiving since it makes you believe there is so much product.
Amount: This eyeliner comes with .17 oz.
Comparison: Wetnwild Mega Eyes Creme eyeliner has .13 oz. MAC Fluidline has .1 oz. L'oreal HIP Color Truth Cream Eyeliner has .159 oz.

Color Variety: This eyeliner comes in 11 shades. Three of which are new shades. There are neutral colors like black and brown. But there are also vibrant shades like purple and blue.
Comparison: Wetnwild Mega Eyes Creme Eyeliner only comes in two shades (black & a purple). MAC Fluidline comes in six shades. L'oreal Color Truth Cream Eyeliner comes in five shades.

Quality: I am not impressed with this gel eyeliner. Almost all of them came very dry with the exception of black and coffee.  But I will mention coffee dried shortly after I received it.
They also lacked pigmentation again with the exception of black and coffee. Here are some pictures:
Black
 Ivory
 Coffee
 Midnight
*both Midnight and Ivory came that dry*
                                 Pros                                                                      Cons
                          Inexpensive                                                                 Dry
                       Variety Of Colors                                                     Not Opaque
                                                                                                Needs To Be Build Up

Grey Tone Nail Of The Moment

This is another NOTM. I am using Essie in Playa Del Platinum. This is what it looks like:

With Flash
 Without Flash
It is a dark beige with a grey undertone. This is three coats. I ended up wearing it for three days. One thing I liked about this nail polish was the brush was kinda small which is good for all my nails but my thumb. Since I really liked using this one I tried using Essie in Sand Tropez, which to my surprise I totally ended up hating. It was really sheer and needed four coats. I really like beige nail polishes so I might give it a chance again. What are your favorite nail polish colors to wear?
