wetnwild Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio in "I Got Good Jeans"

This is another trio from wetnwild, which came out with there 2011 collection. This one is in the shade 333 I Got Good Jeans. This palette has two blues and one golden shade.
This is what  it looks like:

It has three shades, all  of which are labeled but it does not mean you have to use them as it says,  it also has two eyeshadow applicators one of which is the traditional sponge tip applicator while the other is an angled brush.
Here are the swatches of this palette:
Without Flash:

With Flash:
I would describe the browbone shade as a light blue silver, while the crease shade is a dark royal blue, and the eyelid shade is a gold shade.

The only thing I am not liking about these palettes is that I do not like using colored highlighters for my brow bone. I will only use the "brow bone"  shade as an inner corner high light. (This is just my personal preference). Just like all the other wetnwild palettes it retails for $2.99. I do not recommend this to anyone who does not like using more colorful eye shadow. I would recommend this to someone who wants to use more colorful eyeshadow but does not want to spend a lot.  I will post a look I created using this palette only soon.

MAC DUPE! wetnwild Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio in "I'm Feeling Retro"

This is another trio from wetnwild, which came out with there 2011 collection. This one is in the shade 332 I'm Feeling Retro. There is no particular color focus to this palette.
This is what  it looks like:
It has three shades, all  of which are labeled but it does not mean you have to use them as it says,  it also has two eyeshadow applicators one of which is the traditional sponge tip applicator while the other is an angled brush.
Here are the swatches of this palette.
Without Flash:
With Flash:
I would describe the browbone shade as a light bright white, while the crease shade is a medium blue green, and the eyelid shade is a purple with blue iridescence.
As for the dupe:
When I first saw the eyelid shade I thought of MAC's Stars 'N' Rockets.  For those wondering Stars 'N' Rockets has a Veluxe Pearl finish. Here is a comparison of the two shades:

Here are swatches of both shades:
The middle finger has wetnwild, while the index finger has MAC's Stars 'N' Rockets. The wetnwild one is a little darker in comparison to the MAC.
As for the price:
The wetnwild palette retails for $2.99. While the MAC shade retails for $14.50 or $11.00 (depends if you get it in pan refill form or not). The good thing about getting the wetnwild palette is that for $2.99 you do not only get the Stars 'N' Rockets dupe since there are two other shades.

These shades have decent pigmentation. I would not recommend this to someone who does like wearing colorful eye shadows. I will post a look I created using this palette only soon.

wetnwild Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio in "I Dream Of Greenie"

After a massive search for the new wetnwild products  I finally found them in a Walgreens. They had the new nail polish line, the new trios, the reformulated Glassy Gloss Lip Gloss, the MegaLash Clincal Serum, & the MegaLash Clincal Mascara. The new nail polish line, which is the fast dry, came out with 18 shades. All the names are based on tv shows. As for the trio's six new palettes came out. One of which is 331 I Dream of Greenie. This palette is focused on greens.

This is what  it looks like:
It brings three shades, all are labeled but it does not mean you have to use them as it says, two eyeshadow applicators one of which is the traditional sponge tip applicator while the other is an angled brush.
Here are the swatches of this palette:
Without Flash:

With Flash:

I would describe the browbone shade as a light mint green, while the crease shade is like a jade forest green, and the eyelid shade is more like an electric lime green, which I want to call sour apple. These shades have pretty good pigmentation. These retail for $2.99 .  I have been itching to see the new 8 pan palettes, but they aren't available here yet. What I can tell you is there are three palettes and they are retailing for $4.99.  Any who . . . . Shortly I will post a look I created using this palette only.

Postponed: Bio-Oil Experiment: Initial Thoughts

So after hearing many great things about Bio-oil I decided I would bite the bullet & try it. The reason is I have two little scars that I want to diminish. Here is what Bio-Oil looks like:
Packaging: Bio-Oil comes in a plastic clear bottle. I bought mine in Walgreen's. It comes in two different sizes which is 2 oz or in 4.2 oz (This is where I live, this might vary elsewhere). It does not have an applicator just a little opening in which you can put your finger or cotton ball to get some product. I would prefer it have some kind of applicator but it guess it is not something that bugs me enough to the point where I would not buy it.

Costs: The 2 oz bottle costs $12.99. While the 4.2 oz bottle costs $20.99. Remember this can vary depending where you live.

Instructions: This will vary depending on what you want to use Bio-Oil for. But for scars you are supposed to apply twice to the area daily. It also says you should use it for a minimum of three months.

Uses: This has various uses, which include: scars, uneven skintone, aging skin, streachmarks, & dehydrated skin.

So as a little experiment I decided that I will post a weekly update (On Tuesdays hopefully) on how it is working and show how the scar is doing. Then after every month I will give my opinion and at the third month my whole feeling on if this product is as great as other people say. Here is what my scar looks like:

Finished Products of 2011

Here is a list of the products I have finished during this year:
1. Elf eyelid primer ($1) : This is a basic skintone eyeshadow primer. I usually use this when I am doing swatches. Another use I get is for correcting minor mistakes. You can get this online at eyeslipsface.com. I would not repurchase this. The elf mineral eyeshadow primer is alot better.

2. Nivea A Kiss Of Moisture ($1.65, but will vary depending where it is bought): This is a simple lip balm. It is long lasting and leaves lips feeling ultra soft. You can find this in various drugstores. I would repurchase.
3. Elf Wet Gloss Lash & Brow Clear Mascara ($1): This is a clear mascara. I only use it for my eyebrows. I am not the biggest fan of it but it gets the job done. I would not repurchase this.
4. MAC Prep + Prime Face ($26.50) This is a primer. I would not repurchase this. I love the feeling it left on my face but it did not hold my foundation whatsoever. My foundation lasted longer when I did NOT wear this. (Side note: It had 1 fl oz. of product)

5.  Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash: This is my favorite wash to use. I do not get acne very often. But when I do get acne it is very stubborn. One of the big reasons I love this face wash is because of the smell. I  have repurchased it & this is my third bottle.
 6. Victoria's Secret Exhilarating Body Wash in Endless Love: I love Victoria's Secret body washes. I have used three of these up, but one was in Sweet Day Dream (it's been discontinued). I would repurchase this.

MAC Peacocky Haul

This collection came out Janaury 6. This collection came out with a bunch of  lipglosses & eye shadows. I just got five things, which are three eyeshadows & two kissable lipcolours. I would have gotten more eyeshadows but I either felt the shades pigmentation was not up to par or I knew I would not really use it.
Here is what I got:
Eyeshadow
Centre Stage:
It is a rich chocolate brown shade. Here is what it looks like:
Tweet me:
It is a golden peach shade. Some say it looks like Rebenesque paint pot but in a shadow. Here is what it looks like:
Noir Plum:
It is a dark violet. I thought it might look like Marvel eye shadow (Mickey Contractor) but they are not alike. here is what it looks like:
Kissable Lipcolour:
I really like these, I would have gotten more but I was not a big fan of the other colors since it did not really suit my skintone. This lipgloss is not sticky what so ever. It lasts about four hours. I ended up getting two which are in the shades "So Vain" & " Exxxhibitionist". Here is what they look like:

What did you think of this collection? What did you get?

MAC Mickey Contractor Haul

Here is my small Mickey Contractor Haul:
Overall I was not really drawn to this collection.  I just bought three things, which are a fluidline & two eye shadows. I contemplated getting the blushes but the shades did not really suit me. Gana blush was too frosty which I knew I would never wear. The other blush Sur was a dirty rose color which I did not like. The other fluidline was a primer paint blue color. I would have liked it if it was a more metallic bright blue. Anywho here is my haul:

Fluidline in the shade Ivy:
This is the one thing I had to have. I am a sucker for colorful eyeliner. I love how it can make eyes pop. It also helps call attention to the eyes without being too over the top.  For those wondering this is my first fluidline. All I know is that some people say it drys out quickly so you should store it upside down.
Eyeshadow in the shade Marvel (Frost Finish):
This is a purple shade.  The reason I got this is because I am a total sucker for purples & greens. I thought I would love this shade but it is really is sheer. You really have to build it up. I would describe this shade as a metallic shimmery prune color. Here is a swatch:
Eyeshadow in Oomph (Veluxe Pearl):
This is a green shade. I would describe it as a golden metallic olive color. Here is a swatch:
What did you think of this collection? What did you get?

Nail Polish Haul

I went to Sally's Beauty Supply today and ended up buying five nail polishes. Two of which were on sale and had a 50% off the sale price. Two are China Glaze, one is Savvy femme couture, one is Orly, and the last one is Nina Ultra Pro. Here is an overview:
This is the black base I used under China Glaze. This is Bettina Nail Enamel in Midnite (Glamour Collection)

Here is a description of the shades:
China Glaze
  1. Atlantis (On my middle finger): Is a pretty light green with a lot of sparkle. The glitter in this polish reflects many colors. The green undertone is a little too sheer for my taste but I will probably use another green nail polish underneath.
  2. Rainbow (On my ring finger): When I first saw this nail polish I knew I had to have it. It is a white shade with a pink iridescence (the camera will not pick up on it) . The reason I needed to have this nail polish is because it is duochrome & I do not have any other duochrome nailpolishes. (In the swatch I used Bettina Nail Enamel in the shade Midnite, which is part of the Glamour collection)
 Savvy Femme Couture
  1. Garland (On my index): I am a sucker for purples and green when it comes to any cosmetic (in reference to eye shadows). So I thought this deep sparkly green would be nice to have. The thing is it does not show on the nails how I thought it would (but I still like it). I would say this is MAC club (eye shadow) in a nailpolish. It has a brown undertone with green sparkle.
Orly
  1.  Meet Me Under The Mistletoe (On my thumb): It is a sparkly green. It needs to be build up as it is kinda sheer. I needed to put three coats for it to match the bottle.
Nina Ultra Pro
  1. Opal Elegance (On my Pinky): This is a simple clear glitter polish. The glitter in the nail polish only reflects yellow. You also have to put more than one coat if you want for the glitter to be even & noticeable.
Here are the swatches of the shades:

This is China Glaze in "Rainbow" on my ring finger & Nina Ultra Pro in "Opal Elegance".
This is Orly "Meet Me Under The Mistletoe".

Pink Violet Sherbet Eye Of The Day January 4

After much thought I realized I do not like wearing pink eye shadow. So I wanted to wear an eye shadow that has pink. But for some odd reason the pink in the inner half of the lid turned up looking like it is more purple. Any who  . . . . here is what I came up with.
Products Used:
  1.  Eye Shadow Primer: elf Mineral Eyeshadow Primer ($3.00)
  2.  Eye Shadow Base: NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in the shade 610 Oyster (It is a pretty purple with pink undertones)
  3. Eye Shadow: Maybelline eyestudio in the shade 110 Legendary Lilac
  4. Eye Liner: wetnwild Mega Eyes Créme Eyeliner in the shade 866 Black
  5. Lash Primer: Hard Candy 1,000 Lashes Fiberized Lash Weave Primer (I will review this at a later date)
  6. Mascara: Sephora Mascara Lash Plumper in the shade Black
Here is what the palette looks like:
Here are the swatches of the palette:
Here is how to achieve this look:
Use a primer from your lid to the brow bone. Apply a purple base with pink undertones. Using the shade labeled two put it in the inner half of your lid. Also using the shade 2 line your inner tear duct. Then put the shade labeled 3 in the outer half of the lid (do not forget to blend) and put it in the crease (blend, if you do not you will have harsh lines). Using the shade 3 line your lower lash line and meet the shade 2. Lastly for eye shadow on  the lid darken the outer corner with shade four. I decided to only highlight under the arch of my eyebrow since the shade 2 already called attention and did not need a pick me up. Line your eye & tightline (If you want to). Curl mascara, apply lash primer and mascara. Then you are done.

Bronze Desert Eye Of The Day December 29

Here is my EOTD. I only used eyeshadows which are in the Urban Decay Naked Palette.
Products used:
Face:
Primer: MAC Matte Cream
Foundation: Maybelliene Dream Liquid Mousse
Set Powder (For Face): MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural,
Set Powder (For Eyes): elf Mineral Eye Brightener in Buff
Concealer: Make Up For Ever 5 Camouflage Cream Palette in N 1, MAC Studio Finish Concealer
Cream Blush: MAC Cream Colour Base in Movie Star Red (Stylishly Yours Collection)
Contour: NYX Blush in PB 11 Taupe
Highlight (For Nose & Brow Bone): Almay Bright Eyes Liner/ Highlighter duo in 01 Cocoa & Pearl
Highlight (For Cheeks & Cupids Bow): MAC High-Light Powder in Honey Light (Naked Honey Collection)
Blush: Kevyn Aucoin The Pure Powder Glow in Dolline

Eyes:
Primer: Urban Decay Primer Potion (Original)
Base: MAC Paint Pot In Let Me Pop (Cham-Pale Collection)
Eye Shadow: Urban Decay Naked Palette, the shades I used are the following: Smog, Sidecar, Darkhorse, & Half Baked
Eye Liner (For Upper Lash Line): Urban Decay 24/7 Liner in Zero
Eye Liner (For Water Line): Chromagraphic Pencil in NC 15/ NW20 (Pret-a- Papier Collection, Cham- Pale Collection, Permanent at MAC Pro)
Eye Lash Primer: MAC Prep + Prime Lash
Mascara: Sephora Lash Plumper, Rimmel Eye Magnifier

Lips:
Lip Blam: elf Studio Conditioning Lip Balm SPF 15 in Mellow Melon
Lip Stick: MAC lipstick in Ravishing
Lip gloss: MAC Dazzleglass Creme in Passing Fancy (Tartan Tale Collection)

Here is how to get this look:
I first put primer from the lid to brow bone. Then applied MAC paint pot to the lid. For the first shade I used Urban Decay eye shadow in Smog all over the lid and a little in the crease. Then I put Urban Decay eye shadow in Sidecar in my crease and brought it in wards. For the outer corner I used Urban Decay eyeshadow in Darkhorse and blended it in. For my inner corner high light I used Urban Decay eyeshadow in half baked and lined the inner corner. Then I applied Urban Decay 24/7 liner in zero to my upper lash line and smudged it (The reason I did this is because I wanted it to look soft and not take away to much attention from the eye shadow).  I wanted to open up my eye since some of the colors were dark so I put MAC chromagraphic pencil to my waterline. Then I just curled my lashes, applied lash primer, put sephora lash plumper mascara, and finalized with Rimmel Eye magnifier mascara.
