China Glaze Island Escape (Haul, Review & Swatches)

Recently I was able to find China Glaze's summer collection, which is Island Escape. It has six new nail polishes. This is what the display looks like:
There are two different finishes which are crème (some say neon instead) & shimmer. The six nail polishes are Blue Iguana, Cha Cha Cha,  Electric Pineapple, Papaya Punch, Señorita Bonita,  & 108 Degrees.
Polish Overview:
Blue Iguana
I would describe this color as a teal with blue shimmer.

Notes: This was three coats.
Cha Cha Cha
This is a bright lime green with yellow iridescence.

Note: This was one coat.
Electric Pineapple
This shade for me is a little hard to describe. I would say it is a bright yellow green. This is one of the shades that has a crème finish.

Note: This was three coats.
Papaya Punch
When I see this shade I do not see papaya I think of mangos. I would describe this as a bright mango orange. This is the other nail polish in this collection that has a crème finish.
Swatch:

Note: This was one coat.
Señorita Bonita
I would describe this as a bright violet with pink shimmer. (On a sidenote: I really think this name is cute)

Note: This was three coats.
108 Degrees
To me this is a red cherry with pink shimmer.

Overall I really like this collection. The polish that impressed me the most was Papaya Punch. The reason it impressed me so much was because the pigmentation was amazing and the formula was nice too. I was a little disappointed with Blue Iguana and Senorita Bonita because you need to build them up. No surprise if I could only get one polish it would be Papaya Punch. I am truly surprised that I would choose that one since I LOVE purples & greens. I would have chosen Senorita Bonita if it were pigmented. The reason I did not choose Cha Cha Cha is because I find it to be a generic color. It looks like Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear in 17 Ivy League (In a future post I will compare the two).

Crackle Eyeliner? Maybelline Line Stiletto Review

A while back I bought the Maybelline Line Stiletto Line Stiletto Ultimate Precision Liquid Eyeliner in Blackest Black. This is what it looks like:

One thing I really like about this eyeliner is the applicator. The applicator is not to big or small and permits you to create a thin line. Another thing I really liked about this eyeliner is that when it dried it had a very shiny finish (kind of metallic like). This eyeliner reminds me of the eyeliners that came out with MAC Fabulous Feline.  They are called the Superslick Liquid Eyeliner (they both have a metallic shiny finish). I would do a comparison but the only superslick liquid eyeliner I have is green (Treat Me Nice). But according to the pictures I have seen of the MAC superslick liquid eyeliner in  the shade On the Hunt it has a less metallic finish. (I would put a swatch of the eyeliner but I cant find it, when I do I will put one)
This is what the applicator looks like:

Then why would I hate this eyeliner? It does not last and leaves a crackle finish. While crackle nail polish is in style that does not mean I want crackle liquid eyeliner. I put eyeshadow primer, I set it with black eyeshadow BUT it still cracked. I do not even have oily eyelids. I do not know what could have caused it. I really wanted to love this eyeliner because the finish was so shiny but I hate the fact it does not last for even half an hour. Even though this eyeliner is not expensive I would not buy it again. There are better liquid eyeliners in the drugstore than this (one I really like is the n.y.c liquid eyeliner in black its just $2.99). I read other reviews & they were all pretty mixed. But there were people who complained of it not lasting and flaking. So use at your own risk.
Overall: If you want a long lasting eyeliner I do not recommend this one. I honestly can not think of a situation where I would recommend this.

Orly Pin-Up Collection (Haul, Review & Swatches)

Pin-Up is Orly's 2011 summer collection. The collection has four shades. It has a neon, crème, and two glitters. This is what the display looks like:

The four shades it comes with are Bubbly Bombshell (glitter), Coquette Cutie (crème), Here Comes Trouble (glitter), and Va Va Voom (neon). I ended up getting two of the polishes (but since there was a special I got a third one free). The three I got where Bubbly Bombshell, Coquette Cutie, and Here Comes Trouble. Edit: Recently I ended up buying Va Va Voom.
Polish Overview:
Bubbly Bombshell
 Is a  pink purple glitter.
It is on the sheerer side and needs to be build up.
Swatch:

Coquette Cutie
Is a vivid pink coral crème.
I really hate this nail polish. I am thinking of returning it. I am not a big fan of the formula. I will admit that it is quite opaque but I am not in love with the color.
Swatch:

Without Flash
Here Comes Trouble
Is a bright forest green glitter.
It also is on the sheerer side and needs to be build up.
Swatch:
With Flash

Va Va Voom
is a bright neon pink.
I LOVE this color. I usually hate neons since they can be such a pain to work with but this one gave me no problems.

Overall I really like the two glitters & would repurchase them. I would however recommend that if you do not like having to build up a color you skip those two. These can be found in Sally Beauty Supply, head2toebeauty.com, and ulta.

OPI Pirates Of The Caribbean (Haul, Reviews & Swatches)

Recently I was able to get my hands on the new OPI Pirates Of The Caribbean collection. Any who this collection came out with 7 nail polishes, one of which is silver shatter. Here is an overview of the six nail polishes.
Polish Overview:
Sparrow Me The Drama
Is a fuchsia

Is a light pastel lilac
Swatch (Flash)
Note: Three Coats
Skull & Glossbones
Is a grey with green undertones
Swatch
No Flash
 Flash
Note: Two Coats
Mermaid Tears
is a jade
Swatch
Flash
Note: Two Coats
Stranger Tides
is a light pastel olive
Swatch
No Flash
Flash
Note: Three Coats. The formula is really runny & thin.
Planks A Lot
Is a pastel medium lilac
Swatch
No Flash
Flash
Note: Three Coats
Collection Overview: While I do like the colors I do not really think they are reminiscent of Pirates Of The Caribbean. They are more spring colors since they are pastels (kind of easter like). I expected more sea colors (greens and blues) or sharp dark colors. I will admit the names are good choices though. Some of the polishes formula could have been better but overall I like the collection. My favorite nail polish in this collection is Silver Shatter. But if I were to choose a color I would be stuck between Mermaid Tears & Planks A Lot. My least favorite is Sparrow Me The Drama because it will not look good on my skin tone. I would use it with something else on top.
